Cooperative Bank of Oromia
The Cooperative Bank of Oromia is embarking on an ambitious project to construct the tallest building in the country, a 65-story tower named Finfinnee Tower, in Addis Ababa City. To ensure the success of this landmark project, the bank has signed an agreement with Engineering Consultants Group (ECG).
This impressive building is not only expected to add to the beauty of the city but also significantly contribute to the bank's fixed assets. It marks another milestone for the bank, which recently hired a consultant for a 47-story building project known as the Financial District.
Additionally, the Cooperative Bank of Oromia has achieved a remarkable feat of reaching 10 million accountholders, making it the first private bank to achieve such a significant milestone. The bank expresses gratitude to all its clients, team members, stakeholders, and everyone who has been a part of this journey.
In recent news, the Cooperative Bank of Oromia has introduced a new savings service called "Zakat." This interest-free savings service is in line with the teachings of Islam, requiring followers to allocate a portion of their wealth to support the less fortunate. The "Zakat" service enables individuals and small enterprises to make payments according to Shariah regulations, and the bank facilitates the collection and transfer of Zakat payments to charitable organizations.
Furthermore, the bank proudly announces its partnership with Rabo bank, a cooperative bank with a legacy of supporting sustainable agriculture and local farmers in 38 countries. Together, they aim to transform the food and agriculture sector in Ethiopia, sharing a commitment to positive change and sustainable development.
